PSR/RPS Nova Scotia Chapter is delighted to host its bi-annual Conference in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia from June 25-26 2009. Dartmouth is located on Canada's east coast and is a part of the Halifax Regional Municipality. Referred to as the 'City of Lakes', Dartmouth boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in Nova Scotia. Halifax is minutes away by car, bus, or ferry!

The theme of the Conference is “Enhancing Recovery through Employment”. This conference will offer delegates a broad and dynamic education experience through keynote speeches, presentations, and panel discussions. The conference will highlight that people living with mental illness can successfully transition into the workforce, be productive valued employees, and experience job satisfaction.

The event will cover workshops and presentations on topics such as Supported Employment, Social Enterprise, challenges and opportunities associated with supporting persons who are recovering from mental illness find and keep community employment.

The conference is designed for those who want to gain knowledge about and practical skills that pertain to supporting persons with mental illness find and keep meaningful jobs. Conference participants will include service providers, employers, educators, researchers, policy makers, funding agencies, administrators, consumers, family members, students, and community resource providers. As delegates, you will have opportunity for networking, and sharing ideas and knowledge.
